Thanks to all of our exhibitors, volunteers and the Shelton community, the Jaycees 47th Annual Arts & Crafts Fair was another HUGE success! Beautiful weather and tons of visitors. We couldn’t have asked for a better day.
Mark your calendars now! Always the First Sunday in June on the Huntington Green, our 2012 event will be on June 3rd with a rain date on the following Sunday. Click on the Arts & Crafts Fair tab on our home page for all the details.
We had 70 registered exhibitors in 2011, down just a bit from previous years, but the quality work of our exhibitors was second to none. Diversity is the hallmark of our fair. It’s a juried event with cash prizes for Best in Arts & Best in Crafts. We limit exhibitors to a maximum of three in each category. In 2011, as in previous years, we had to deny several applications in order to create that “perfect mix” that our participants have grown to expect.
Please congratulate with us the 2011 winners:

Eileen Clark, Odonata Sea Glass Jewelry & Gifts - 3rd Place Craft

Daniel Kowalski, Dankow Oil Paintings - 3rd Place Arts

Ernest Pratt, Wooden Puzzles - 2nd Place Crafts

Ronald Smith, Copper City Photography - 2nd Place Arts

Christine Volpe, Glow In The Dark Glass - 1st Place Crafts

John Houle, Burnt Offerings - 1st Place Arts
The 2011 Arts & Crafts Fair was chaired by Kate Jager. Volunteers included Jessica Heady, Laurie Suhy, Michael Sheehan, Nikole Lindley, Matt Bunnell, along with past members Val Sabetta, Wendy Holden, Mark Holden and Jim Nissen, plus long time friend of the chapter Dolly Collings.
